LOMA SYSTEMS TO SHOWCASE ADVANCED INSPECTION SOLUTIONS FOR MEAT AND POULTRY PROCESSORS AT IPPE 2027

9 Nov 2026

Loma Systems®, a global manufacturer of inspection solutions for improving product safety and quality in the food and pharmaceutical industries, will exhibit at the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) 2027, taking place January 26-28 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Visitors can meet the Loma team at Booth B39004, where the company will showcase its latest metal detection, X-ray inspection and checkweighing technologies for the meat, poultry and protein processing industries.

Loma will have a range of inspection solutions on display, to demonstrate how manufacturers can address the challenges of contaminant detection, product quality, hygiene and production efficiency across demanding protein applications. Visitors will also have the opportunity to discuss their individual production requirements with Loma experts, and share feedback to help inform future product developments.

Among the systems on display will be Loma's X5DE Space Saver, an advanced Dual Energy X-ray inspection system designed for complex and mixed-density products where contaminants can be particularly difficult to detect. Combining Dual Energy technology with multi-level detection algorithms, the X5DE delivers enhanced detection of contaminants such as bone, glass and metal, while helping to minimize false rejects. The system is particularly suited to challenging meat and poultry applications where reliable contaminant detection is essential to maintaining product safety and quality.

Also featured will be the IQ4M Flex Metal Detector, incorporating Loma's Multi-Spectrum and Variable Frequency technologies to improve metal detection performance across challenging applications, including products with high or variable product effect. Designed to help minimize false rejects while maintaining detection sensitivity, the IQ4M provides processors with greater confidence in their inspection processes, supported by enhanced connectivity and data management capabilities.

For pumped and free-flowing products, Loma will showcase the X5 4-inch Pipeline X-ray Inspection System. Designed to accommodate higher-throughput applications, including processed meat products and meat slurries, the system combines effective contaminant detection with a hygienic, easy-to-clean design. Its larger pipe diameter, compact footprint and suitability for demanding washdown environments help processors maintain product safety while supporting efficient production and cleaning routines.

Completing the range of solutions on display will be the CW3 RUN-WET® Checkweigher, developed specifically for high-care food processing environments and harsh washdown conditions. Featuring an enhanced hygienic design and IP69-rated construction, the system supports efficient cleaning and reliable weight control. With no drying time required following washdown, manufacturers can restart production immediately, helping to reduce downtime and maximize productivity.

Tomasz Strzemecki, North America Sales Director at Loma comments: "Protein/meat & poultry processors face some of the most demanding inspection challenges, from detecting contaminants in complex products to maintaining hygiene and efficiency on busy production lines. IPPE gives us a valuable opportunity to meet customers, understand their production line challenges and demonstrate how our inspection technologies can help them improve product safety, quality and performance.

"We're looking forward to welcoming visitors to our booth, sharing our expertise and hearing their feedback as we continue to develop solutions that meet the evolving needs of the industry."

Attendees can register for the event using guest pass code 60294EX and are invited to visit Booth B39004 to explore how Loma can support their product safety, quality and operational objectives.
