Refurbish or Upgrade your Inspection System

Technology and regulations within the product inspection industry are always evolving and machine refurbishments and upgrades provide viable options to make sure your equipment complies. LOMA^® offers varying mechanical and electrical refurbishment and upgrade options to help suit your needs.

Machine upgrades are carried out on the customers site or offline depending on the upgrade requirement. LOMA aims to keep downtime to a minimum and this means that certain upgrades may need to be completed out of production hours.

Why refurbish or upgrade equipment?

A change in regulations
With ever changing regulations that are increasingly becoming more stringent it may be necessary to refurbish or upgrade aspects of your equipment such as failsafe’s or security access. These changes could either be because of associations such as BRC or IFS or Supermarket Codes of Practice including M&S, Walmart, etc.

Technology advancements
If you have had your machine for a while and wish to improve sensitivity or general inspection quality, we have various refurbishment and upgrade paths to the latest technologies. An example of a refurbishment would be updating an Insight Metal Detector head to its original manufactured condition.  An example of an upgrade would be adding the IQ3+ touchscreen to an IQ3 metal detector head.

Product changes
An upgrade maybe required due to changes in the product that is being inspected. For example a “new line of products” maybe introduced which require larger apertures or a different type of reject devices.
