16 May 2016

In a move aimed at further driving forward innovation and productivity, Loma Systems a leading manufacturer of in-line metal detection, checkweighing and x-ray inspection equipment for the global food industry – has established a Technical Centre of Excellence located in Denton, Manchester, UK. Now fully operational, the flagship technical centre is at the forefront of Loma’s drive to develop high performance inspection technology for major food manufacturers, processors and packers.

Reinforcing the activities of Loma’s state-of-the-art production facilities primarily based in Farnborough in the UK, and the Czech Republic, the technical centre brings key functions under one roof, including sales, service, engineering and R&D. It is also host to a demonstration area which will allow Loma to provide training and product testing.

The new technical centre is headed up by Loma Systems’ Technical Director, Hitesh Hirani who comments: “Developing advanced inspection technologies that adhere to the legislative requirements of the worldwide food industry and meet BRC and retailer standards is at the core of our business“.

He continues: “The technical centre is part of Loma’s continued commitment to R&D for in-line product inspection systems, and is already fulfilling technology and product development objectives. The increased research capability and investment will help ensure we continue to build on our success to date and maintain our global competitiveness.”

“As well as complementing Loma’s other facilities, our efforts at the technical centre mean customers continue to benefit from a responsive and adapted service specific to their requirements and applications,” Hitesh concludes.
