Loma Systems to bring Latest inspection solutions to bakery manufacturers at Canada 2026 Bakery Showcase

23 Mar 2026

Loma Systems, a global leader in inspection technologies for food, packaging and pharmaceutical industries, will make its debut appearance at the Bakery Showcase Conference and Trade Show 2026, taking place from May 3-4 at the Toronto Congress Centre in Toronto, Canada. The move comes as the company seeks to strengthen engagement with bakery manufacturers across Canada.

Exhibiting at Booth 320, LOMA will showcase a range of inspection technologies to help bakery producers improve product safety, quality assurance and operational efficiency. The exhibition marks Loma’s first participation at the Toronto-based bakery event and highlights its commitment to supporting Canadian customers with locally accessible expertise and inspection solutions tailored to bakery applications.

Visitors to the stand will have the opportunity to meet LOMA’s Canadian regional sales managers, David Der for Ontario and Youssef Derrij for Quebec, who will be available to discuss inspection challenges and demonstrate how advanced detection technologies can support evolving bakery production requirements. Attendees will also be able to explore LOMA’s metal detection, X-ray inspection and checkweighing systems, all designed to safeguard product integrity while maintaining production efficiency.

A key focus at the show will be the IQ4M Flex metal detector, engineered to deliver reliable contaminant detection across a wide range of bakery products. Incorporating patented Variable Frequency and Multi-Spectrum detection technology alongside DDS+ signal processing, the system delivers improved detection stability and sensitivity, even when inspecting products with fluctuating temperatures or high salt content. RFID tag login enhances operator security and traceability, while OPC-UA connectivity via Ethernet enables improved data exchange in modern production environments.

The IQ4M Flex performs effectively when product variability poses inspection challenges and is suitable for frozen dough, unpackaged items, and packaged baked goods. Its flexible configuration allows integration into a variety of production lines, helping manufacturers future-proof operations as product portfolios evolve or new recipes are introduced.

Alongside the IQ4M Flex, Loma will highlight complementary inspection systems for bakery manufacturers, including the X5 Space Saver X-ray System, with a compact footprint and quick lead times and the X5C Compact X-ray System, particularly suited to smaller baked snack products. The CW3 checkweigher, featuring a digital load cell for enhanced weighing accuracy, is also available with faster lead times, and North American shipping is now offered for select configurations.

Designed, engineered and built in the UK and EU, LOMA’s inspection systems combine global engineering expertise with strong local Canadian sales and service support. The company focuses on delivering low total cost of ownership, easy-to-maintain equipment and highly rated technical training. Furthermore, customers benefit from in-house technical support that quickly resolves any issues, as well as a dedicated ‘trusted Loma advisor’ who provides ongoing guidance throughout the equipment lifecycle.

Louis Chatel, North America Business Unit Manager at Loma Systems, commented: “We look forward to exhibiting at the Bakery Showcase in Toronto as we continue to advance our inspection systems for this sector. For over 55 years, we’ve helped bakery manufacturers worldwide produce safe, high-quality products. The event is a strong platform for us to connect with industry leaders and reinforce our position as a driving force in bakery production.”
